The climate tech think tank

Reaching net-zero by 2050 will require using multiple means of action, from public policy and technology innovation to demand-side reduction. In the short term, the required technology already exists, although it can, and indeed must, be improved upon and deployed on a mass scale - including renewable technology, the usage of which increases by around 15-25% per year. However, as the International Energy Agency stated in its “Net-Zero by 2050” scenario, up to 50% of the emission reductions in 2050 will come from technologies that are still in the development phase. This development will be based on incremental, as well as breakthrough, innovation.

With the clock ticking and companies across the globe scrambling to reach net-zero, the world of climate technology is constantly evolving, motivated by the immense scale of the challenge ahead. The starting point for Zenon is recognising that the rapid developments in the area of climate and energy technologies are not accompanied by a growing awareness about their role and potential. The main aim is to provide the keys to understanding these innovations, and to enable a community of change-makers to seize opportunities to accelerate the emergence of the most promising technologies.

Zenon Research in an independent, science-based think tank linked to PSL university devoted to the analysis of emerging technological trends required to achieve net-zero. Based on a rigorous scientific approach, it provides high-quality analyses identifying promising technology and potential breakthroughs to help investors, entrepreneurs, and companies identify future opportunities and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon world.  The think tank also organises events to foster exchange of information, catalyse collaborations, and accelerate the transition.
